Care Model & Philosophy
What kind of doctor are you?
I’m a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 30 years of experience caring for patients of all ages — from newborns to older adults. I also bring leadership experience in healthcare systems, clinical quality, and patient safety.
Is OG Health like direct primary care (DPC)?
OG Health is similar to DPC in that it’s membership-based and insurance-free, but we go beyond the basics by offering concierge-level access, personalized health planning, and family-wide care that includes proactive prevention and high-level coordination.
Do you see patients of all ages?
Yes — I care for infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors. My training in family medicine means I can provide continuity across generations and help families plan for the future together.
What kind of patients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals and families who value access, consistency, and a real relationship with their doctor — including professionals, parents, contractors, executives, and those who want care that respects their time and context.
Membership & Financial Details
Can I pay monthly, or is it one lump sum?
OG Health operates on a simple, annual membership model. Payment is made as a one-time lump sum at the start of your membership year. This allows me to keep the practice small, focused, and fully committed to each patient — without the complexity of monthly billing. Patients may use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for their membership. We recommend confirming with your plan provider to ensure eligibility.
Is there a family discount or household rate?
Your immediate family members under 18yo children are included at no additional cost when you join as an adult patient.
What if I need help understanding how to use my insurance alongside OG Health?
I’ll help you understand what’s covered by your insurance — like labs, imaging, or specialist visits — and how to get the most out of your benefits. Even though OG Health doesn’t bill insurance directly, I’m here to help you make smart, informed choices about how to use your plan.
What does the membership fee actually provide that traditional insurance-based care doesn’t?
Your membership gives you unlimited access to personalized, physician-led care — without the constraints of insurance, short visits, or fragmented communication. You’re getting a doctor who knows your story, stays with you over time, and is available when you need them. It’s not just access — it’s advocacy, continuity, and time.
New Patient Process
Can I talk to you before committing?
Yes — I offer a free consultation call so you can ask questions, share your concerns, and see if OG Health is the right fit for your goals.
How long does it take to get started?
You can usually have your first full appointment within one week of enrolling — and in some cases, even sooner if availability allows.
What happens at the initial visit?
The first visit is an in-depth 30-90 min consultation. We’ll review your medical history, discuss current concerns, and set a clear plan moving forward.
Will you review my previous records?
Yes. With your consent, I’ll review and request your prior medical records to make sure nothing gets missed and you get the continuity you deserve.
Do you limit the number of new patients?
Yes — to preserve the quality of care, I accept a limited number of new patients each year. Once the panel is full, I maintain a short waitlist.
Appointments & Access
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can easily go on our portal to schedule online or text, call, or email me directly — no need to wait on hold. We’ll find a time that works for your schedule.
Can I get a same-day visit if I’m sick?
Yes — I offer same-day or next-day appointments for urgent concerns whenever possible.
What’s your availability for after-hours concerns?
I’m available after hours for urgent needs — whether you’re sick, concerned, or unsure what to do next. I’ll guide you and help decide on next steps.
Can I use telehealth when I’m traveling?
Yes — I offer virtual visits for when you’re out of town, working remotely, or simply want care from the comfort of your home or office.
Care Model & Philosophy
Do you manage urgent care issues?
Yes — I can treat many issues that typically send people to urgent care, including infections, minor injuries, rashes, and more. If you’re not sure, just reach out.
Can you refer me to specialists?
Absolutely. I maintain a trusted network of local specialists and will help you choose the right one — and stay involved in your care.
Will you help me navigate the healthcare system — and are you tied to a specific hospital?
Yes. I serve as a healthcare advocate and advisor, helping you navigate complex decisions, cut through red tape, and avoid unnecessary delays or expenses. While I’m on staff at several respected hospitals in the Denver area, I remain completely independent and system-agnostic — meaning I’m free to refer you to the specialists, hospitals, or programs that are truly best for you, not just those within one system. My only priority is making sure you get the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
What if I need surgery or hospitalization?
While I don’t perform surgeries or admit patients to hospitals, I’ll coordinate your care, communicate with the surgical team, and be available for pre- and post-op support.
